SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

The Serengeti National Park is East Africa’s premier wildlife destination, comprising nearly 15,000 square kilometers of sprawling wilderness. The park is best known as the home to the annual Great Migration of more than two million wildebeest and zebra, which draws visitors from across the globe to witness one of nature’s last truly awe-inspiring spectacles. The Serengeti is also a place where secretive leopards prowl in the shadows of riverine forests and roving lions patrol fiercely contested territories from one horizon to the next. In fact, the high concentration of predator populations is one of the Serengeti’s biggest draws.

The name Serengeti is inherited form Maasai name “Siringit”  which means “endless plains”,which perfectly describe its vast savannahs. The landscape includes grassland, woodlands, and riverine forest ,offering a variety of habitats for numerous species. .
